Politics is not a boring subject for fashion lovers
anymore. Fashion has reached to the threshold of our temple of democracy,
Parliament. Starting from celebs of the Indian film industry to high profile
women politicians have always been the trend setters for fashion in India and
fashion trends always follow these stars wherever they go. Thus when so many
women politicians are showing their presence on the floors of the both houses
of Indian Parliament, the showcasing of ethnic wears draped by them gets a new
meaning and publicity when so many western wears are available in the
market.
When former Foreign Minister of Pakistan Hina
Rabbani Khar gave
an interview to a TV channel wearing her signature style salwar kameez surely
changed the definition of fashion trend among politicians. Now it is time for
the Indian women politicians to turn the camera flash towards them. When so
many celebrities are present on the floors of the house nobody can move their
eyes from the proceedings of the parliament. Not only Bollywood heartthrobs
like Rekha, Moon Moon Sen, Smriti Irani or even Jaya Bachchan, Kirron Kher create
a centre of attention in the Parliament but also the seasoned politicians like Harsimrat
Kaur Badal, Sushma Swaraj or Sonia Gandhi made Parliament a fashionable state
of affairs.
