If
we remember the song- ‘Jab Pyar Kia To Darna Kya’ from the movie Mughal-E-Azam,
where Anarkali challenged her lover’s father and made all of us glued to the
television sets to see her bravado. Beautiful no doubt- the song and the set
were extraordinary. Apart from the song and the set what attracted us is the
garb that she was wearing during the song. Only one word-Beautiful!
Had
the movie Mughal-E-Azam not made in Bollywood Anarkali salwar kameez wouldn't
have been possible to design in such an elegant way for women. The anecdote of
Anarkali-Salim is a ‘gatha’ of love and sacrifice that Anarkali experienced to
get her love back is very inspiring for all of us and designers surely gave
tribute to this design by making Anarkali salwar kameez so elegantly and gracefully
in true sense. The retro style of Anarkali salwar kameez has changed over the
years in Bollywood films also, Madhuri Dixit to Malaika Arora Khan all
presented this attire in different avatars. People have accepted them with love
and respect. The expectation has also gone higher thus designers brought
Bollywood themes in real life also. From reel life to real life Anarkali
salwars have been loved by all.
Women
feel proud wearing attire like Anarkali. Traditional wardrobes carry the
essence of the Indian culture and inheritance. Anarkali Salwar surely does so
too. After making women look so gorgeous in this attire for decades designers
recently have made some changes to the designing of the attire seems to be
modified for betterment and surely have made this traditional Anarkali attire
more beautiful and as well as attractive too. Graceful colours with unique
designs made Anarkali more especial to the women. New designs are coming
everyday in the market and surely replacing the older one by the newer one.
In
Anarkali salwar kameez the bottom part is more fluttered than usual salwar
kameez. Thus the scopes for making elegant designs on the body are more in
Anarkali than the other Dress Materials. Starting from Aplic to Sequins and
Stone works could be seen on the bottom of the attire. It is the magic of a
great designer who can mold any dress in to any style. Themes or designs are
made to be broken. One goes another comes in the fashion industry and this is
how industry evolves. In life also things keep changing and to stay in the mind
of the buyers why not changes will be seen in women’s wear too.
Traditional
dresses have come out all the way to the modern era now, where basic essences
of the tradition remain intact only looks get changed time to time. Anarkali
dresses are being used by the modern women in parties, festivals and wedding
ceremonies also. In salwar kameez section women love to wear Anarkali salwar
kameez more than dress materials. In true senses Anarkali is the bearer of the
Indian tradition and culture.
